FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and may be used for boring. Proposed method comprises simultaneous drill rotation and axial feed and billet displacement. Billet is rotated in direction opposite that of drill. Drill is revolved at rpm not exceeding maximum magnitude whereat chip is not jammed between drill and bore surface while billet is rotated at rpm depending on billet rpm, maximum tolerable for given boring speed, drill diameter and drill maximum rpm whereat chips are not seized.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and precision, longer life of drill.
