FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical technology, namely, devices for sampling biopsy material from human organs and soft tissues. Technical result is achieved by the fact that in the biopsy needle, made of a tube with a length of 25 mm or more, with a nominal outer diameter of 0.3 to 1.2 mm, consisting of a needle head, a connecting piece and a safety cap, the needle tube has a sharpened working end with the formation of an oval hole, according to the invention, the oval hole has at the opposite end of the needle a part of the tube continued in the form of a through-cut rectangular shape ending in a semicircle, the major axis of the oval hole and the longitudinal axis of the slot lie in the plane of symmetry of the needle passing through its longitudinal axis, the length of the slot is no more than two lengths of the greater axis of the oval hole, and the slot width is no more than 1/3–1/4 of the outside diameter of the needle tube, all the edges of the slot are sharpened at an angle of 30–45° to the longitudinal axis of the needle.

EFFECT: technical result of the utility model is an increase in the volume of cellular material, a reduction in time spent on the manipulation, absence of risk of re-sampling of biopsy material, traumatization, infection, bleeding and dissemination of tumor cells, which is ensured by the accuracy and reliability of the needle.
