FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to medical genetics and surgery, and can be used for prediction of developing acute pancreatitis. DNA is recovered from lymphocytes of peripheral venous blood, genotyping by allele-specific polymerase chain reaction of DNA synthesis. A polymorphous version of Arg47His of ADH1B alcohol dehydrogenase gene, a polymorphous version of Glu487Lys of aldehyde dehydrogenase gene ALDH2 are investigated. If male and female Russian nationality is detected in allele Arg of ADH1B gene, in females of Russian, Bashkir and Tatar nationalities of Lys allele of ALDH2 gene high risk of developing acute pancreatitis is predicted.
EFFECT: use of the invention improves accuracy of prediction by detecting factors of national and gender predisposition to developing the disease.
