FIELD: heating.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of induction heat treatment of parts having at least partially a cylindrical part and a disk part, the diameter of which is larger than the diameter of the cylindrical part, and the central axes of said parts coincide. Inductor has a single transverse segment connected to the front ends of two longitudinal posts, the second ends of which are connected to a coupling segment that covers the entire circumference of at least partially the cylindrical part of the workpiece when the workpiece is mounted in the inductor for induction heating. Alternatively, the inductor may comprise two coupling segments connected by two longitudinal posts, one of which is supplied with alternating electric current.
EFFECT: use of the invention improves the reliability and quality of heat treatment of parts, and also prolongs the service life of the inductor.
