FIELD: electrothermics. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has tube axial displacement mechanism 1, multiple-coil inductor 4 and sprayer, with inductor and sprayer being axially aligned in vertical plane, generator connected with inductor 4 and provided with power control unit 6, pyrometer 5 connected with unit 6, a pair of light sensors 9 faced one towards the other and positioned between coils or behind inductor 4 in plane perpendicular with respect to longitudinal axis of inductor. Inductor is provided with drives 8 for moving inductor in plane perpendicular with respect to its longitudinal axis. Drives 8 are connected with light sensors 9. Apparatus allows heating temperature in the plane of tube cross section to be regulated EFFECT: improved quality of quenching. 3 dwg, 1 tbl
