FIELD: instrument engineering.
SUBSTANCE: tool includes insert cutter (3) and replaceable cutting plate (4) installed in the socket, which is restricted between the bottom support and elastically deformed clamping finger (8). Cutting insert includes an upper side, in which front surface (22) located on the front is included, as well as force application surface (23), which is located behind the front surface and against which clamping finger (8) is pressed. Fluid jet channel (48) is included in clamping finger (8) to spray cooling medium towards front surface (22) and front nose of the clamping finger facing the shoulder, which is formed between front surface (22) and force application surface (23) and is designed to protect the nose from chips. Said shoulder consists of two protrusions (41), which are mutually separated by central recess (42) through which the cooling medium can pass from channel (48) for a jet of liquid towards front surface (22).
EFFECT: improved cooling of the front surface of the cutting insert is achieved.
