METHOD FOR APPLYING TENDON SUTURE Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61B17/56

Abstract RU 2673112 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics, and may be applicable for the imposition of a tendon suture. Some distance 3.0–3.5 cm from the edge of the damaged tendon in the frontal plane, dividing it into two equal parts (the plane Φ), suturing the first end of the tendon in the transverse direction, holding the thread with two needles at the ends of an intrastrift through. Stepping from the tendon away from the damaged edge, one of the needles performs vcol and form the first suture, placing it in the plane Φ. Conduct the thread inside the barrel with a shot out in the area of the front edge of the sagittal plane passing through the longitudinal axis of the tendon (plane C) at a distance of 1.5–2.0 cm from its damaged edge. Departing along the tendon away from the damaged edge, perform vcol and form a suture, placing it in the plane C. End of the thread is carried inside the barrel with a puncture in the plane Φ at a distance of 0.5–1.0 cm from its damaged edge. Stepping back along the tendon from the damaged edge, they perform vcol and form the second suture in line with the first suture. Conduct the thread inside with the conclusion of the first end of the thread on the end surface of the tendon. Through the tendon spend another contralateral end of the thread. Form the third suture in the same way as the first suture. Conduct the thread inside the barrel with a shot out in the area of the rear edge of the plane C at a distance of 1.5–2.0 cm from the damaged tendon edge. Departing along the tendon away from the damaged edge, perform vcol and form a suture, placing it in the plane C. End of the thread is carried inside the barrel with a puncture in the plane Φ at a distance of 0.5–1.0 cm from the damaged edge of the tendon and form the fourth suture similar to the second suture, located in line with the third suture. Conduct the thread inside with the conclusion of its second end on the end surface of the tendon. Second end of the injured tendon is sutured similarly to the first. Brought out the corresponding ends of the threads are interconnected.

EFFECT: method provides strong connection of the two ends of the damaged tendon, maintains adequate blood supply to the tendon, and reduces the risk of suture eruption.
