FIELD: hygiene.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of oral care means and methods for their use. Disclosed is an oral care composition, comprising (I) a whitening complex containing a complex of cross-linked polyvinylpyrrolidone with hydrogen peroxide, (II) a pigment from blue to blue-violet with an angle of colour tone in the CIELAB system in the range of values from 200 to 320 degrees, (III) a block copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide with an average molecular weight of more than 5,000 Da, in which the block copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide contains (ethylene oxide)x-(propylene oxide)y, where x denotes an integer having a value in the range of 80–150, and y denotes an integer having a value in the range of 30–80. Total amount of hydrogen peroxide by weight of the composition is 0.01–3 wt; the amount of pigment is 0.01–3 wt%. Also disclosed is a method of whitening the surface of teeth in a human or animal subject, comprising contacting said composition with the surface of teeth.
EFFECT: composition ensures its stability during long-term storage and preservation of the effectiveness of cleaning and whitening teeth.
