SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ionizing radiation spectrometers. Ionizing radiation spectrometer contains a germanium semiconductor detector, a detector moving device, cryostat for cooling the detector with liquid nitrogen; electronic modules for processing and storing signals received from the detector; controller; ultrasonic range finder. Cryostat contains a cryogenic vessel with liquid nitrogen, a tank on which the detector is fixed, a tube, the cavity of which is covered with a hydrophilic sorbent, a coaxial tube, and a remotely controlled shut-off valve. Inclined plate is installed in the upper part of the tank, a horizontal plate is installed in the middle part of the tank. Range finder is directed to an inclined plate and allows you to identify the need for topping up liquid nitrogen in the tank.

EFFECT: reduction of the static error of measurement of the energy of detected charged particles.
