FIELD: curable film-forming compositions.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a curable film-forming composition comprising: (a) a first film-forming polymer obtained from at least one hydrophobic monomer and having reactive functional groups, the first film-forming polymer (a) being contained in the curable film-forming composition in an amount of 20 to 40 percent by weight, based on the total weight of resin solids in the curable film-forming composition, where the first film-forming polymer (a) contains an acrylic polymer obtained from a reaction mixture containing a hydrophobic monomer, while the hydrophobic monomer in the reaction mixture used to obtain the first film-forming polymer (a) contains a fluorinated monomer and/or siloxane; (b) a second film-forming polymer different from the first film-forming polymer (a) and obtained from at least one hydrophobic monomer, wherein the second film-forming polymer (b) is contained in the curable film-forming composition in an amount of 0.5 to 15 percent by weight based on the total resin solids in the curable film-forming composition, wherein the second film-forming polymer (b) comprises an acrylic polymer obtained from a reaction a mixture containing a hydrophobic monomer, and the hydrophobic monomer in the reaction mixture used to obtain the second film-forming polymer (b) contains a fluorinated monomer and/or siloxane; and (c) a hardener containing functional groups reactive with the reactive functional groups in (a); wherein the second film-forming polymer (b) is more hydrophobic than the first film-forming polymer (a), and when the curable film-forming composition is applied to the substrate to form the coating layer, the first film-forming polymer (a) is distributed throughout the entire coating layer, and the concentration of the second film-forming polymer ( b) more in the surface area of the coating layer than the concentration of the second film-forming polymer (b) inside the area of the bulk of the coating layer.
EFFECT: invention further relates to substrates coated with said curable film-forming composition, as well as methods for reducing contamination build-up on a substrate, comprising applying to at least a portion of the substrate a curable film-forming composition as described above and at least partially curing said curable film-forming composition.
