FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to plant growing. Cohesive product is a growth substrate formed from artificial vitreous fibers bound to the cured binder composition and the wetting agent constituting an alkyl ester sulfate. Growth substrate is used as a substrate for growing plants or for germinating seeds. Method for growing plants in a cohesive product is a growth substrate, and includes: production of at least one growth substrate formed from artificial vitreous fibers associated with a cured binder composition and a wetting agent; placement of one or several plants for growing into a growth substrate; and irrigation of the growth substrate; the wetting agent is an alkyl ester sulfate. Method for germinating seeds in a cohesive product is a growth substrate, and includes: producing at least one growth substrate formed from artificial vitreous fibers associated with a cured binder composition and a wetting agent, placing one or more seeds in a growth substrate, irrigating a growth substrate; and ensuring the germination and growth of seeds from which seedlings are formed; and the wetting agent is an alkyl ester sulfate. Method for manufacturing the growth substrate comprises the steps of: i. manufacture of artificial vitreous fibers; ii. spraying of artificial vitreous fibers with a binder composition; iii. spraying of artificial vitreous fibers with a wetting agent; iv. collecting and combining artificial vitreous fibers; and v. curing the binder composition; and the wetting agent is an alkyl ester sulfate.

EFFECT: inventions make it possible to improve wetting.
