FIELD: veterinary science.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to veterinary medicine, in particular to the prevention of infestation of animals by parasites. Prophylactic agent used to prevent the infestation of animals and their environment by adult fleas is isoxazoline compounds 4-[5-(3,5-dichlorophenyl)-5-trifluoromethyl-4,5-dihydroisoxazol-3-yl]-2-methyl-N-[(2,2,2-trifluoroethylcarbamoyl)-methyl]-benzamide (fluralaner), (Z)-4-[5-(3,5-dichlorophenyl)-5-trifluoromethyl-4,5-dihydroisoxazol-3-yl]-N-[(methoxyimino)methyl]-2-methyl benzamide, 4-[5-(3,5-dichlorophenyl)-5-(trifluoromethyl)-4H-isoxazol-3-yl]-2-methyl-N-(thietan-3-yl)benzamide, 4-[5-[3-chloro-5-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]-4,5-dihydro-5-(trifluoromethyl)-3-isoxazolyl]-N-[2-oxo-2-[(2,2,2-trifluoroethyl)amino]ethyl]-1-naphthalenecarboxamide (afoxolaner) and 5-[5-(3,5-dichlorophenyl)-4,5-dihydro-5-(trifluoromethyl)-3-isoxazolyl]-3-methyl-N-[2-oxo-2-[(2,2,2-trifluoroethyl)amino]ethyl]-2-thiophenecarboxamide. Isoxazoline dose is used in an amount sufficient to achieve a plasma concentration of 1.5 to 25 ng/ml, by systemic administration.
EFFECT: use of isoxazoline-containing compounds as antiparasitic agents is disclosed.
