SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the use of an isoxazoline compound selected from 4-[5-(3,5-dichlorophenyl)-5-trifluoromethyl-4,5-dihydroisoxazol-3-yl]-2-methyl-N-[(2,2,2-trifluoro-ethylcarbamoyl)-methyl]-benzamide (CAS RN 864731-61-3 — USAN fluralaner), or a salt or solvate thereof, for the prevention or treatment of chicken lice infestation in poultry, wherein the effective amount of isoxazoline compound is administered with drinking water as two separate doses with the interval of 7 days.
EFFECT: invention provides for the treatment or prevention of parasitic arthropod infestation of poultry, especially laying hens, by administering an effective amount of the isoxazoline compound with the drinking water.
