FIELD: biochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to biochemistry. Device and method for performing photosynthesis are proposed. Device comprises a master microfluidic chamber for carrying out photosynthesis in it a main body. Microfluidic chamber comprises communication chamber, plurality of microchannels, introductory microtract, plurality of filter plugs for filtering the backflow of the fluid, and light source for irradiation. Moreover, the device is designed to cause photosynthesis by introducing chloroplasts and saline, and said filter plugs are configured to prevent the chloroplasts from escaping. Method comprises the continuous introduction of chloroplasts and saline into the microchannel by means of an introductory microtract and simultaneous irradiation of the microchannel to effect photosynthesis within the microchannel.
EFFECT: inventions provide reduction in emission of carbon dioxide.
