FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to systems, components and methods for producing and maintaining cells, as well as producing and recovering cells and products produced by such cells. Bioreactor for production, maintenance and isolation of cells or cell products contains: input configured to receive a plurality of cells; a macrostructure comprising a plurality of minimodules in fluid communication with an input; and an output in fluid communication with a plurality of minimodules. Minimum module of multiple minimum modules (i) has a double gyroid structure or a modified double gyroid structure and (ii) is fluidly connected to another minimum of the plurality of minimodules by means of one or more connections to form at least one microchannel configured to pass the flow from the plurality of cells. Method for scaling the production of cells involves introducing a first plurality of cells into an inlet of a bioreactor, feeding a liquid medium flow, feeding a gas composition and growing cells in the bioreactor to obtain a second plurality of cells.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides scaling of production without changing or significantly changing laboratory conditions for growing cells of different types, cell microclimate of different types and produced molecules of different types.
