FIELD: monitoring devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the validation of valuable documents. For at least two validity criteria in each case, the unsuitability function determines the degree of unsuitability of the corresponding value document. Unsuitability function with the measured validity values in each case unambiguously correlates the degree of unsuitability and has two threshold values, beyond which the degree of unsuitability in relation to the corresponding criterion of fitness is 0 or 1. Between the two suitability criteria lies an area of uncertainty, in which the degree of unsuitability relative to the appropriate criterion of suitability lies between 0 and 1 and the function of unsuitability passes either monotonically decreasing or monotonously increasing. Then the degrees of unsuitability of various validity criteria are combined into the probability of unsuitability of the corresponding value document and, based on the probability of unsuitability, classify the validity of the corresponding value document.
EFFECT: method for checking the validity of valuable documents is proposed.
