FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics, and can be used to predict the risk of infection of the surgical intervention area (SSI) in spine operations. Patient is evaluated by 15 indicators, assigning a score to each of them. With a score of 14 points or more, a low risk of SSI in spinal surgery is predicted. At the sum of points from (-14) to 14 – the average risk. At the sum of points (-14) and less – a high risk of development of SSI.
EFFECT: method allows to accurately, simply and quickly predict the risk of developing SSI during operations on the spine, timely prevent infections and reduce the risk of SSI development by evaluating a set of the most significant indicators.
