FIELD: heat power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a power system and can be used in thermal power plants, boiler houses, etc. to ensure oil-free ignition and stabilization of combustion of pulverized coal. High energy type igniter for pulverized coal contains channel 1 of pulverized coal, inside which are installed rod electrodes 2 and conical fairing 3, facing a small base opposite the flow of pulverized coal. Conical fairing 3 is placed in front of rod electrodes 2, additional pipe 6 of pulverized coal is attached to its small base, the lumen b between fairing 3 and rod electrodes 2 is expressed by the inequality: d/2<b<D/2, where d is the diameter of the small base of conical fairing 3; D is the diameter of the large base of conical fairing 3, the length L of conical fairing 3 and the diameter D of its large base are equal: L=(1.5÷2)d and D=(1.5÷2)d, where d is the diameter of the small base of conical fairing 3.
EFFECT: invention improves the stability of ignition and combustion of pulverized coal at different loads (power) and ensures long and trouble-free operation of the device.
