FIELD: power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used at thermal power plants, in boiler houses, etc. to provide fuel-free ignition and combustion stabilization of pulverized coal and water-coal fuel. Proposed device comprises housing 1 to which fuel line 2 and air duct 3 are connected, inside the body there are rod electrodes 4 directed along its longitudinal axis and intended for generation of electric discharge 7, formation of reaction zone 8, forming ignition of main flame 14. Housing is made of non-magnetic material, behind rod electrodes in direction of pulverized coal fuel flow on outer side of housing on both sides of its axis there are electromagnetic coils 10 with magnetic conductors 11 with possibility of their movement along the housing axis. Longitudinal axes of said electromagnetic coils are perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the housing and coaxial to each other. Electromagnetic coils 10 with magnetic conductors 11 are installed opposite the area of radiation of electric discharge 7 inside the housing, wherein rod electrodes 4 and electromagnetic coils 10 with magnetic conductors 11 are located in one plane.

EFFECT: technical result is implementation of ignition process of fuel-air mixture, allowing with minimum specific costs to ignite fuel-air mixture, having different chemical composition and high humidity.
