SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for generating steam. Device comprise evaporation surface (24), heater (26) located near the evaporation surface for heating the evaporation surface, water inlet (19) and scale collection area (23). Water inlet is located relative to the evaporation surface so that water is supplied to the evaporation surface from the water inlet and forms a film on the evaporation surface, so that the film evaporates from the evaporation surface. Scale collection area is located so that during use of the device, scale separated from the evaporation surface, falls from the evaporation surface into the scale collection area. Device is designed so that the control of the flow of water through water inlet (19) and to evaporation surface (24) is carried out depending on the temperature of evaporation surface (24), such that, essentially, all of the water supplied to the evaporation surface evaporates from the evaporation surface without flowing from the evaporation surface to scale collection area (23).

EFFECT: reduction or elimination of scale in steam generation devices.
