FIELD: engines and pumps; control devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for on-board monitoring of the technical condition of a running gas turbine engine (GTE) for the presence of magnetic and non-magnetic metal particles in the oil flow of the lubrication system. Essence of the invention lies in the fact that the method of detecting metal particles in the oil of the lubrication system of friction units and determining the flow rate of the oil on a running gas turbine engine further comprises the steps of removing the calibration characteristics – the voltage of the measuring circuit depends on the radial displacement of the metal particle in the plane of the sensitive element coil from the center to the inner radius of the oil pipe for metal particles of different size (diameter) in the selected control range; finding the approximation function for the calibration characteristics in the form of an analytical expression; splitting a specified range of sizes of controlled particles into a given number of groups; selecting groups adjacent to a given range of sizes of controlled particles; calculating the probability of belonging of a detected metal particle to selected groups of sizes.
EFFECT: increasing the information content of the technical condition of the GTE.
