SUBSTANCE: method for determining distance from a vehicle to an object comprises steps of: sending a first transmission signal from a reverse parking assistance system during a first signal transmission period, receiving a first reflected signal during a first listening period, sending a second transmission signal from a forward parking assistance system after the first listening period, receiving a second reflected signal during a second listening period and performing parking assistance system calculations based on the first and second reflected signals.
EFFECT: problem of errors occurring during sensor operation due to the distortion of their readings is solved.
