Method of parking assistance for parking control device comprises detection of first marking line of free parking space and second marking line, which forms a pair with the first marking line, setting the parking target on the straight line connecting the end of the near side of the first marking line and the end of the near side of the second line of marking or installation of the parking target on the straight line connecting to each other the end of the far side of the first line of marking and the end of the far side of the second line of marking and execution of parking control. Parking control device comprises target parking marking sensor, target position setting circuit and a vehicle control circuit configured to perform parking control so that the wheel position of the vehicle in question matches the parking target.
