FIELD: satisfaction of human vital requirements.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to easy-to-use silicone hydrogel contact lenses, namely, a packaging solution for contact lenses, which is an aqueous solution containing at least one buffering agent in an amount sufficient to maintain a pH value equal to from 6.0 to 8.5 and from 0.01 % to 2 wt.% soluble in water and thermally crosslinking hydrophilic polymer material; where water-soluble and thermally crosslinking hydrophilic polymeric material contains (i) from 20 % to 95 % by weight of the first polymer chains formed from polyammine or polyamidoamine functionalized with epichlorohydrin, (ii) from 5 % to 80 % by weight of hydrophilic moieties or second polymer chains formed from at least one hydrophilicity-enhancing agent, containing at least one reactive functional group selected from the group consisting of an amino group, a carboxy group, a thiogroup, and a combination thereof, and (iii) positively charged azetidine groups, which are parts of the first polymer chains or side or end groups covalently linked to the first polymer chains, where the hydrophilic fragments or the second polymer chains are covalently linked to the first polymer chains with one or more covalent bonds, each of which is formed between one azetidine group of a functionalized by epichlorohydrin polyamine or polyamidoamine and one amino group, a carboxy group or a thiogroup of an agent that increases the hydrophilicity.

EFFECT: invention provides an ophthalmologically safe packaging solution, with the packaging solution having a tonicity of 200 to 450 mOsm and a viscosity of 1 cP to about 20 cP at 25 °C.
