FIELD: contact lenses.
SUBSTANCE: easily used silicone hydrogel contact lenses contain silicone hydrogel contact lenses and a crosslinked hydrophilic coating on them and containing from 5 to 80 wt.% of polymer chains obtained from a copolymer, which is a product of polymerization of a composition containing from 0.1 to 30 wt.% of one or more reactive vinyl monomer and at least one non-reactive hydrophilic vinyl monomer. The contact lens has a water film break time of 5 seconds or more, an oxygen permeability of at least 40 barrels, an elastic modulus of 1.5 MPa or less, and a water content of 18 to 70 wt.% when fully hydrated.
EFFECT: invention improves the wettability and durability of silicone hydrogel contact lens coatings.
