FIELD: measurement.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed group of inventions relates to means for determining the parameters of a rotating shaft, primarily of agricultural machines. Device (1) for determining the mechanical state of a machine component, in particular shaft (2), which is driven into rotation around axis (3), comprises actuator (4) located on machine component (2) configured for axial movement, means (9, 10, 11, 12) for converting torsion of machine component (2) to axial displacement of actuator (4) and sensor (5) which is stationary relative to component (2) for sensing the axial displacement of actuator (4), and is characterised in that actuator (4) is provided with mark (6) which can be detected by sensor (5) for detecting axial displacement of actuator (4), wherein from the number of detected marks (6) per unit time, number (n) revolutions of machine component (2) can be determined.
EFFECT: present inventions make it possible to simultaneously control both the axial displacement and the number of revolutions of the rotating component of a machine, while simplifying the design of the controlling device.
