FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the engine building. Piston of a forced diesel engine consists of interconnected lower (1) and upper (2) fragments. Fragments (1) and (2) form peripheral (3) and central (4) piston cooling cavities. Cavities (3) and (4) are communicated by the main (5) and additional (6) channels. Main channels (5) are made in the wall of lower fragment (1) perpendicular to the axis of symmetry of the piston. Additional channels (6) are located above main channels (5) inclined to the axis of symmetry of the piston. Flap valves (7) close additional channels (6) during the warm-up period of the diesel. Shutter flap valves (7) are made of a material that has a shape memory effect.
EFFECT: technical result consists in accelerating the warm-up of a cold diesel engine by closing additional piston channels during the warm-up period of the diesel engine.
