FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, namely to plant growing. Method includes determining the vegetative mass of the shoot and the weight of the grain of the ear in the phase of full ripeness, calculating the specific coefficient of proportional dependence of the weight of the grain of the ear on the vegetative mass of the shoot – coefficient of the specific fruiting capacity. Determine the number of grains of the spike, and as an additional indicator of selection using the coefficient of specific fruiting capacity, which is calculated by the formula: SFCC=ng/mv, where SFCC – coefficient of specific fruiting capacity; ng – average number of grains of an ear, pieces; mv – the average vegetative fruiting mass, g. According to the values of two specific indicators of the fruiting capacity, plants are estimated, while those that have their maximum values are considered highly productive.
EFFECT: method allows objectively selecting wheat plants with high productivity while reducing the complexity of the process.
