METAL-CUTTING MACHINE FOR DEEP-HOLE DRILLING Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: machine-tool manufacture, in particular, bridge-type metal-cutting machines for deep hole drilling designed for drilling of deep holes in tube sheets and similar parts applicable in power engineering industry. SUBSTANCE: drilling spindle unit has device 11 for supply of lubricant-coolant located on mandrel. Outlet of device is communicated with channel 12 for supply of lubricant-coolant to zone of deep drilling and made in drill 13. Spindle unit 10 has removable mechanism 14 for collection of used lubricant-coolant with chips. Device 11 is made in form of body 15 having draining hole 16 and outlet 17. Outlet 17 is communicated with source of supply of lubricant-coolant under pressure, and draining hole 16 communicated with discharge member. Body 15 is located with the aid of bearings 18 on mandrel 19 intended for attachment of shank of drill 13 and having hole 20 for communication with channel 12 for supply of lubricant-coolant to zone of deep drilling. Installed in body 15 between bearings 18 on mandrel 19 with minimal clearance is sealing bushing 21 with annular groove 22 on internal surface, and, at least, one radial channel 23 for communication of inlet 17 of body 15 with hole 20 of mandrel. Draining hollow 24 for collection and withdrawal of leakage of lubricant-coolant is made on external side surface of sealing bushing 21. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 3 dwg
