SUBSTANCE: invention relates to engineering, namely to thrust bearings. Plain thrust bearing comprises a thrust collar, annular thrust bearing (2) with fixed pads (3), having a wedge-shaped profile, forming wedge gaps (7) with the thrust collar, housing (4), tapering radial channels (5) for supplying lubricating fluid to fixed pads (3) and hydrostatic pockets (6). Annular thrust bearing (2) is made with internal annular channel (8), connected by discharge holes (9) to wedge gaps (7) and supply holes (10) with hydrostatic pockets (6). Discharge holes (9) are made with a larger diameter than the diameter of supply holes (10).
EFFECT: increased bearing ability of the plain thrust bearing.
