FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for reproducing aerodynamic thermal effects on the head of a rocket fairing under ground conditions. Proposed is a method for thermal loading of rocket fairings from non-metallic materials, including zone heating of the fairing with a contact heater in the form of electrically conductive sectors connected in an electrical circuit in series, the coordinates of which are given relative to the top of the fairing and temperature measurement. Moreover, the electrical resistance of the electrically conducting sector is determined relative to the top of the fairing using the formula: where Rn – electrical resistance of the heater; qn-i – the heat flux density from the heater on the (n-i)-th part of the outer surface of the fairing; Sn-i – surface area (n-i)-th part of the fairing; P – heater power.
EFFECT: improved accuracy of reproducing the temperature field on the surface of rocket fairings from non-metallic materials and simplifying the technology of manufacturing contact heaters.
