FIELD: test technology; aircraft engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for reproducing the aerodynamic thermal effect on the fairing of an aircraft in terrestrial conditions. Claimed method of thermal loading of the fairings of aircraft from non-metallic materials includes heating the external surface of the fairing and measuring the temperature. Temperature regime is reproduced in the furnace, which is preheated without a fairing to a temperature higher than the maximum temperature on the mode. Test fairing with temperature sensors mounted on a mobile heat-insulated platform is introduced into the preheated furnace. Temperature of the outer surface of the fairing at entering is regulated by moving the movable platform, and after reaching the established temperature of the outer surface, regulation is carried out by changing the voltage applied to the heater of the furnace.
EFFECT: reduction of the required electric power and expansion of the possibilities of regulating the heating regime during ground-based thermal tests of fairings of aircrafts made of nonmetallic materials.
