FIELD: rocket equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for reproducing aerodynamic thermal effects on a rocket fairing in ground conditions and can be used for ground testing of aircraft components. Method of thermal loading of non-metallic materials for the fairings of rockets is proposed, which includes heating the outer surface of the fairing by passing electric current through an equidistant heater to this surface in the form of a conductive thin-walled shell of variable thickness in height, in contact with a limiter made of heat-insulating material, also equidistant to the outer surface of the fairing, and temperature measurement. Conductive thin-walled sheath is located to the outer surface of the fairing with a gap into which inert gas is injected under pressure, and the restrictor is made of insulating material made porous. Assembly: fairing, heater and stopper made of heat-insulating material - is placed in a case in which a reduced pressure is created, and a stopper made of a heat-insulating material is cooled on the outer surface with a stream of atmospheric air entering through the dampers at the base of the case.
EFFECT: expansion of the temperature range of the thermal field reproduction on the outer surface of the fairing made of non-metallic materials during ground testing of the structure.
