SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment and provides for a medical device and a method for three-dimensional imaging. The device contains a subject support made with the possibility of movement of a subject from the first position to the second position along a linear trajectory and with the possibility of its positioning in at least one intermediate position. The subject support is made with the possibility of measurement of a displacement along the linear trajectory between the first position and at least one intermediate position. The medical device additionally contains a camera made with the possibility of imaging of the support surface in the first position. The implementation of machine-executable instructions induces a processor controlling the medical device to receive an initial image, using the camera, when the subject support is in the first position, control the subject support for its movement from the first position to the second position, receive at least one intermediate image and displacement for each of at least one intermediate image, and calculate a subject height profile by comparing the initial image and at least one intermediate image.

EFFECT: obtaining a device for three-dimensional imaging.
