FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy and can be used when casting steel from a casting ladle. Slide gate plate contains the base and the liner mounted in the through-hole at the base. Liner is made with a filling channel. Base is made by vibratory casting from material based on tabular alumina containing at least 90 wt. % of Al2O3. Liner is made of refractory material based on tabular alumina, containing, by weight %: Al2O3 – not less than 80, ZrO2 – not less than 5, C – not more than 7. Thickness of the liner is equal to the thickness of the base, the length of the liner is 0.4–0.6 the length of the base, and the width is 0.3–0.5 the width of the base.
EFFECT: increased durability of the refractory plate and reliability of its operation are provided by preventing cracking and blurring of the refractory around the steel outlet.
