SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of measurement. Method for determining the verticality of an extended structure is that the laser radiation source and receiver are installed on the surface of the structure, and the verticality of the installation of the structure is determined from the readings of the laser radiation receiver. Source and receiver of laser radiation are installed in the upper part of the structure at a minimum distance from each other and they are oriented downwards. In the lower part of the design there is a mirror floating on the liquid surface. Verticality is determined by the laser radiation reflected from the mirror.

EFFECT: technical result consists in determining the verticality of the extended structure.
