FIELD: surveying.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to geodetic monitoring of vertical cylindrical tanks. Disclosed method of determining values of deformations of reservoir wall involves scanning outer surface of reservoir by means of a ground laser scanner. Determining spatial coordinates along axes X, Y, Z of reflection points of laser beam from surface of reservoir in conditional coordinate system. Method includes recording scans with each other, data processing of results of ground-based laser scanning with help of software and data processing results of ground-based laser scanning with help of software which enables to bind scans to given coordinate system. Method includes transmitting obtained digital information to a computer program, build-up of digital point three-dimensional model of outer surface of reservoir wall, followed by unfolding produced combined digital point three-dimensional model on plane are plotted in form of flat point model surface in which coordinate Z shows distance of any point from vertical axis of reservoir, as well as mutual deviation from vertical between points, constructing a map of deformations of side surface of reservoir wall in form of isolines to estimate nature and value of deformation of reservoir wall by comparison of actual values of deformations of walls along Z axis with requirements of standard values.
EFFECT: technical result is increasing accuracy and reliability of determining values of deformation of cylindrical wall of vertical reservoir.
