FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for remelting metal waste in a furnace for remelting small aluminum waste. Method includes heating metal waste in a furnace with induction heating, containing the main and loading chambers, maintenance of metal temperature by radiation and convection from electric or gas heaters. Furnace chambers are partially filled with solid and/or liquid metal, an arc induction machine is placed on the outer surface of the loading chamber, and the inner surface of the loading chamber is formed in helical form, the chambers are connected by one flat half-open channel, for access to the main chamber of the furnace using the loading chamber and/or prechamber. Furnace is also disclosed containing the main and loading chambers of the furnace, which are lined metal frames, the chambers are partially filled with solid and/or liquid metal, an arc induction machine is installed on the outer surface of the loading chamber, the inner surface of the loading chamber has a screw shape, the chambers are connected by one flat half-open channel.

EFFECT: reduced need to completely cool the furnace for cleaning and improved performance of the oven.
