FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to thermal methods for the agglomeration of iron ore materials in metallurgy when sintering ores and concentrates. Components of the charge are prepared for sintering, sintering mixture is prepared, charge is mixed and pelletized, the bed and the charge are laid on the sintering machine, mixture is sintered, sinter cake is treated. During pelletizing, the mixed mixture is moistened to 8.0–9.5 % with pulp containing, in the range from 1.5 to 2.0 %, dust waste from the processing of loose hydroheatite and leptochlorite with a fraction of 0–0.1 mm, while with a fraction of 0.074 mm – moistening to 75 wt. %: Fe2O3=46.1; SiO2=18.37; Al2O3=10.55; Cr=1.58; MgO=2.42; CoO=0.11; NiO=0.70; CaO=1.53.
EFFECT: invention allows to increase the impact strength of the agglomerate, increase the performance of the sintering machine and to reduce the consumption of coke.
