FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises preparing the charge for sintering, composing the sintering charge, mixing and pelletizing the charge, placing the bed and charge at sintering machine, sintering the charge and processing the sintering cake. Mixed charge during pelletization is wetted to 6.0-10.0% by pulp containing from 2.0 to 5.0% of mixture of finely divided ochreous-loamy ore and fine monazite with size below 0.10 mm containing in wt %: yttrium 0.003-0.12, ytterbium 0.0002-0.01, lanthanum 0.004-0.14, cerium 0.01-0.22, neodymium 0.07-0.16.
EFFECT: increased impact strength of agglomerate, and during next processing facilitating casting of high strength cast iron with resistance against abrasion.
