FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: intumescent coating composition comprising an epoxy resin binder, an epoxy active diluent, a curing agent and an acid catalyst, the curing agent consists of a mixture of polyamide, polyetheramine and a multifunctional monomer with an amine group and the acid catalyst is effective for the formation of phosphoric acid during thermal decomposition and the coating composition has a viscosity of 20,000–140,000 mPa/s at 20 °C and a shear rate of 1.5 s-1. Invention also extends to a substrate at least partially coated with said intumescent coating composition.
EFFECT: intumescent coating composition is proposed.
