FIELD: monitoring devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of quality control of a multispectral signal used to identify banknotes. In the method, a multispectral signal is detected, recorded by the CIS, the first characteristic value of the multispectral signal is extracted; obtaining a corresponding second characteristic value in accordance with the first characteristic value and the predetermined correction conversion value; and inputting the second characteristic value into the banknote classifier to obtain the corresponding result of the banknote classification. Options for implementation allow to solve technical problems, consisting in the fact that due to differences in the results of the classification of banknotes caused by differences in the parameters of the CIS, banknote identification accuracy is influenced, and there is a risk of misidentification.
EFFECT: technical result is to improve the accuracy of identification.
