SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metal forming and can be used in the manufacture of forgings of turbine blades from heat-resistant nickel-based alloys. Carry out preliminary and final stamping of the workpiece in the blank and final dies. Fiberglass fabric is used, on one surface of which a graphite-containing layer with a surface density of 20–70 g/m2 is preliminarily applied and graphite content of more than 25 %. Before the start of the preliminary and final stamping, the fiberglass fabric is laid in the lower half of the corresponding stamp with a graphite-containing layer to the surface of the lower half of the stamp. Workpiece is placed on the fiberglass fabric in the lower half of the stamp and covered with fiberglass fabric, which is turned with a graphite-containing layer to the upper half of the stamp. After preliminary and final stamping, the billet is cooled in an oven heated to 250–350 °C, for 30–90 minutes, followed by air cooling.

EFFECT: improving the cooling conditions for blade forgings, improving the durability of a die tool and improving the shaping of the blade blank while filling the die engraving.
