FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical diagnostics and is intended to predict the risk of developing ischemic stroke. DNA is extracted from venous blood in Russian individuals who are natives of Central Chernozem Region, and polymorphisms of cytokine genes rs1061624 TNFR2 and rs767455 TNFR1 are analyzed. Identify smoking status. A high risk of ischemic stroke is predicted when a combination of genotype GG rs767455 TNFR1 with genotype GG rs1061624 TNFR2 and with a positive smoking status is detected.
EFFECT: invention ensures obtaining new criteria for assessing the risk of developing ischemic stroke based on data on combinations of genetic variants of loci of rs1061624 TNFR2, rs767455 TNFR1 and smoking status.
