FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to steam turbines, in particular, multi-pressure labyrinth-type gland arrangements for reducing steam leakage between rotating and stationary components of a steam turbine. Steam turbine gland seal arrangement comprises turbine casing component (14) of a steam turbine exhaust, gland carrier (12), chambers (26) and heat shield (16). Gland carrier (12) is mounted on turbine casing component (14) and comprises a plurality of sealing rings (13) arranged in series in a turbine axial direction (28) for sealing along turbine axial direction (28) of turbine rotor (10). At least two chambers (26) are formed in gland carrier (12) facing turbine casing component (14) and configured to eject a mixture of steam/air. Heat shield (16) is configured to cover at least one of the at least two chambers (26) and wherein the plurality of sealing rings (13) are movably mounted on gland carrier (12), between heat shield (16) and turbine rotor (10).
EFFECT: providing a heat shield in chambers formed between and by gland carrier and a turbine casing component.
