FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of photo-oxidation of organic sulfur-containing compounds in the diesel fraction of oil. Method of catalytic photo-oxidation involves mixing the diesel fraction with titanium dioxide powder; feeding the resulting suspension to the reactor, where air is supplied; exposure of UV light with a wavelength of 320–385 nm to the suspension, followed by the circulation of the reaction mixture between the reactor and the reservoir; as well as extraction with acetonitrile-water solution, and sulfur-containing substances are contained in the diesel oil fraction.
EFFECT: invention can be used in the oil refining and petrochemical industries.
