FIELD: organic chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to organic chemistry and can be used for the production of dental adhesive systems. 1 mole of pyromellitic acid dianhydride and 2 mole of 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate, 0.2 mole of tertiary amine and 0.01 mole of 4-methoxyphenol are mixed. Heated mass is kept under constant stirring for 1 hour. A single recrystallization is carried out by dissolving pyromellitic acid dimethacrylate in 130 ml of methanol and adding distilled water dropwise to the solution heated to 65 °C until cloudy, followed by aging for 24 hours at room temperature. Precipitate is filtered, washed on the filter with a mixture of isopropanol: distilled water in a ratio of 1:1 and dried the resulting product to constant weight.

EFFECT: it ensures obtaining chemically pure pyromellitic acid dimethacrylate, as well as improved adhesion of filling materials to hard dental tissues.
