FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of producing coatings and can be used in various branches of mechanical engineering in the manufacture or restoration of parts to impart a surface with improved corrosion resistance characteristics. Method of coating a steel substrate by gas-dynamic spraying involves applying an intermediate and base layers of the coating by heating compressed air and feeding it into a supersonic nozzle to form a high-speed air flow, in which a powder mixture appropriate for each of these layers is introduced. When the intermediate layer is applied, the compressed air is heated to a temperature of 250–450 °C, in this case, a powder mixture consisting of aluminum oxide and aluminum at 1:1 ratio is introduced into the high-speed air flow. Then main layer is applied, for which a powder mixture consisting of aluminum oxide and nickel at 1:1 ratio is introduced into the high-speed air flow. Each of the intermediate and base layers is applied with a thickness of 0.2–0.3 mm.
EFFECT: improvement of the quality of the coating and increase of the corrosion resistance of the steel substrate with the above-mentioned coating, which allows improving the quality and service life of coated steel parts.
