FIELD: essential oils industry.
SUBSTANCE: method of processing coriander fruits involves hulling of fruits, the separation of whole fruits into the core and the shell, followed by processing the coriander core by means of steam distillation and extraction. At the same time, before hulling, the coriander fruits are treated with liquid nitrogen to the raw material temperature of (-40) °C, hulling is carried out in liquid nitrogen vapor at the raw material temperature of (-30)–(-20) °C, and the separation of the mixture of coriander core and shell is carried out in an aeroseparator using cold air circulating in it at a temperature of (-20)–(-10) °C.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the yield of essential and fatty oils by 15 %, to reduce the consumption of water vapor and water by one and a half times, to increase by 1,4 times the specific performance of the main equipment.
