FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: hip joint spacer consists of a head, neck, leg, made of bone cement with a skeleton located inside. Inside the legs are four pomp pumps, each entrance is located in the lower part of the legs, each is made in the form of two fixedly and perpendicularly connected first and second polypropylene tubes. Each pomp pump has two valves on both sides inside the first tube, and at the junction with the second tube there is a through hole in the first tube. Second tube is closed on one side. Inside the second tube along its axis are the first piston of a ferromagnet for the possibility of interaction with the magnet, that is brought to the surface of the body, and the spring. First tubes of pomp pumps are parallel to each other and the axis of the legs of the spacer and fixedly connected to each other. Second tubes are arranged in pairs in two perpendicular planes. Frame is made in the form of four metal tubes of paramagnetic, located along the axis of the legs and the neck of the spacer and fixedly connected to each other. Each of the four metal tubes is connected to the output of the corresponding pomp pump. Medicine is located inside each metal tube and a second piston on the pump side of the pump. To each metal tube on the opposite side, there is an outlet tube connected to the surface of the spacer in the area of its neck. When a magnet is brought to the thigh surface in the projection of one of the pumps, under the influence of a magnetic field, the first piston moves in the direction of the magnet and the fluid contained in the femur channel enters the first tube. Then the magnet is removed from the hip, under the influence of the spring moves the first piston to its original position.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the effectiveness of the treatment of paraprosthetic infection, as well as a reduction in the side effects of antibiotic therapy.
